    PRIMIGENIA

    The Return to the Wild

Project in development and production · Presentation planned for 2032

There is a beauty that existed long before us. An ancient beauty, untouched by our sense of urgency, that endures in the forests, mountains and wild landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula. Within the extraordinary diversity of its wildlife and ecosystems, something essential remains: a world shaped over thousands of years, reminding us that we belong to something infinitely greater than ourselves.

PRIMIGENIA is an ongoing personal photographic project born from an intimate need to pause, to find stillness and to return to the natural world of my homeland. To seek refuge from the noise in the silence of the wild, a place where time moves differently and where learning to look again, without haste, might gradually become a way of healing.

It is a return to Mediterranean forests, mountains and the vast natural landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula. To encounters with Iberian lynx, red deer, European bison, vultures and birds of prey. I am drawn not only to the beauty of this wildlife, but also to the sense of belonging that emerges when we slow down, observe and begin to understand that nature needs no human presence to give it meaning.

PRIMIGENIA grows from this longing to return to what is essential. To find in nature a place of quiet, reconciliation and healing. A journey that seeks no answers, only the freedom to feel, to contemplate and to rediscover a sense of wonder.

Perhaps protecting the world around us begins with learning to see it again.

And perhaps returning to the wild is, ultimately, a way of finding our way back to ourselves.
